But don't go yet. I have something for you right now.
I have a special gift for you to get you started.
The 5-Minute Shutdown Ritual
While you wait for The Winner Within doors to open, I want to give you something you can start using tonight.
It's called The 5-Minute Shutdown Ritual and it's one of the simplest, most effective tools I teach inside the membership.
Here's why it matters:
Most high-achieving women struggle to "turn off" at the end of the day.
Your mind is still racing with tomorrow's to-do list, replaying today's meetings, worrying about what you forgot to do.
So you doom scroll. You stay up too late. You wake up exhausted.
The 5-Minute Shutdown Ritual helps you close the loop on your day so your brain knows it's safe to rest.
And when you sleep better, everything else gets easier.
THE 5-MINUTE SHUTDOWN RITUAL (STEP-BY-STEP)
How It Works:
Set aside 5 minutes before bed (around the same time every night, if possible).
Here's the ritual:
STEP 1: BRAIN DUMP (2 minutes)
Grab a notebook or your phone and write down everything still bouncing around in your head:
- What you didn't finish today
- What you need to do tomorrow
- Random worries or reminders
Get it out of your brain and onto the page.
You're not solving anything right now. You're just creating a "holding place" so your brain knows it's captured.
STEP 2: CHOOSE YOUR ONE PROMISE (1 minute)
Look at tomorrow and ask yourself:
"What's the ONE promise I want to keep to myself tomorrow?"
Not five. Not ten. One.
Write it down.
Examples:
- "I'm going to bed by 10pm."
- "I'm going for a 20-minute walk at lunch."
- "I'm eating protein at breakfast."
Make it realistic. Make it specific.
STEP 3: CLOSE THE DAY (2 minutes)
Now, take a few deep breaths and mentally close the loop on today.
Say (out loud or in your head):
"Today is done. I did what I could. Tomorrow is a new day. Right now, my job is to rest."
Then put your phone on Do Not Disturb, turn off the lights, and give yourself permission to be done.
WHY THIS WORKS
Your brain needs a signal that the day is over.
Without that signal, it keeps running - replaying, planning, worrying - because it doesn't know when it's "safe" to stop.
The 5-Minute Shutdown Ritual gives your brain that signal.
It tells your nervous system: "We're done. Everything important is captured. We can rest now."
And when you do this consistently, your brain starts to trust it. Which means you fall asleep faster, sleep more deeply, and wake up with more energy.
It's not magic. It's just a habit that works.
Your Challenge This Week:
Try the 5-Minute Shutdown Ritual for the next 7 nights.
That's it.
You don't have to do it perfectly. You don't have to change anything else.
Just practice closing the loop on your day and notice what happens.
